Rethinking IVF: Reducing the Burden of Fertility Treatment

Taiwan is rapidly aging. It is projected to become a hyper-aged society by 2025, with over half the population 45 or older. Coupled with declining birth rates, this isn’t just a future concern—it’s a pressing, immediate reality. While discussions on this topic often focus on how people postpone or forgo parenthood due to financial pressures or work-life imbalance, another significant factor is also at play: the biological hurdles faced by those yearning for children. This silent struggle is an often-overlooked contributor to Taiwan’s demographic challenges.

Globally, fertility issues are more common than many realize. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that one in six persons of reproductive age worldwide will experience fertility challenges. This is far from a niche problem; it’s a widespread issue affecting millions with dreams of starting a family.

The increasing use of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) services is a clear indicator of this struggle. According to the journal Fertility and Sterility, between two and three million couples globally undergo IVF each year. For women, each cycle typically involves enduring 10 to 15 days of hormone injections—totaling over 50 million injections worldwide annually. Behind these statistics lie countless individual stories of physical discomfort, hormonal side effects, emotional strain, and profound disappointment when treatment fails. Daily injections, accompanied by fluctuating moods, fatigue, sleepless nights, and nausea, are a hidden burden for many women on this journey.

At Sinedore, we believe there’s a better way forward.

We’ve pioneered a needle-free, pain-free drug delivery platform designed to make the IVF process easier. Our proprietary technology enables the delivery of key fertility hormones—FSH, LH, and HCG—in novel formulations that eliminate the need for injections. By removing the anxiety and burden associated with needles, we aim to make the path to parenthood less physically and emotionally demanding. While becoming a parent will always require strength and perseverance, becoming fertile shouldn’t be defined by pain.

Sinedore is here to support every courageous woman navigating fertility treatment, by offering innovations that bring greater comfort, peace of mind, and, ultimately, hope. Let’s create space for new life—with less pain and greater chances of success.
