Parents and caregivers of small children who require frequent medication often face regular struggles ensuring these children receive their vital medication. When a medication is unpleasant to a child, it can be met with resistance, which often results in spills, emotional toll, and incomplete dosages. Resistance-induced shortfalls in necessary medication can impact a child’s recovery and development, significantly increasing caregiver stress. This challenge has shaped a core belief at Sinedore: true therapeutic success depends not only on the medicine, but on a delivery method designed with the patient in mind.
KinderDose™ represents a commitment to solving this fundamental challenge of patient compliance, ensuring no child’s treatment fails simply because the medicine was not made with their sensitivities in mind.
The core of the KinderDose™ platform is a clever pH-gradient technique. We create multilamellar lipid vesicles (MLVs) with an acidic interior and an alkaline exterior, forming a “one-way gate” that loads and traps the medicine inside. This fully contains the drug and masks any unpleasant taste, making it easier for children to take. The multilayer design helps stabilize the formulation, allowing for precise, flexible dosing.
